Results of 2008 Georgia Lineman's Rodeo - Tuesday, May 06, 2008The results of the 2008 Georgia Lineman's Rodeo are now posted on their website. Click Here to go directly to the results page. The Top 3 Journeyman Teams were: Marietta Power Team #1, Marietta Power Team #2, and Thomasville Utilities.
The Top 3 Apprentices were: Jason Ravan-Marietta Power, Justin Sinyard-Marietta Power and Eric Weems-Griffin Power
Congratulations to all who participated! It was a great day (even though the wind picked up, the rain held off till all the events were finished. Georgia Teams Score in APPA Lineman's Rodeo! - Tuesday, April 22, 2008Sixty-two journeyman lineworker teams and 70 apprentices competed in the 2008 Public Power Lineworkers’ Rodeo, which took place Friday and Saturday on the grounds of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Winners in the “Overall” category of the journeyman events are:

First Place: North Carolina Association of Municipal Electric Systems, Team 139: Jody Kiser, Keith Gaskins, Mike Harper and Mark Howery.

Second Place: Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Team 148: Todd Prangley, Lucas Raley and Mark Raley.

Third Place: Nashville Electric Service, Tennessee, Team 152: Tommy Barksdale, Brad Sanford, Steven Stubblefield and Lance Southworth.

Fourth Place: Naperville, Ill., Team 103: Vince Bartlett, Ivan Wescott, Shaun Roam and Doug Newberry.
